(A Nutritious Homemade Treat)
Inspired by chocolate candies I received as a gift from Ukraine, I decided to dedicate a special page of this book to share this simple yet meaningful recipe with you.
This treat perfectly combines the health benefits of dried plums and walnuts with the rich, intense flavor of dark chocolate, making it a delicious and nourishing snack for any time of the day.
Did you know that dried plums have powerful antioxidant properties and are considered more beneficial than dried figs, dates, grapes, and apricots? Enjoying these tasty fruits in the morning can help boost your energy and support a more productive day.
Ingredients
- 15 dried plums (1 package)
- 15 walnut halves
- 100 g dark chocolate
Preparation of the Dried Plums
- Cut the dried plums gently on one side and carefully open them.
- Place one walnut half inside each plum.
- Close the plum carefully around the filling.
Dipping in Chocolate
- Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler.
- Carefully dip each filled plum into the melted chocolate.
- To remove excess chocolate, use two small spoons for a smooth finish.
Cooling
Arrange the chocolate-covered plums on parchment paper and place them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, until the chocolate sets.
Serving
Serve each chocolate plum in small paper cups for an elegant presentation.
