Delicious homemade bread without yeast
Chapati bread with honey and walnuts is one of my favorite healthy breakfasts that I make often.
I’m not a big fan of yeast because it can upset my stomach, which is why I started making this type of bread.
This recipe is quick, simple, and doesn’t take much time.
It gives you delicious, homemade bread without yeast, perfect for any day.
The classic combination of walnuts, honey, and fresh mint makes this healthy sweet breakfast irresistible.
Ingredients
For the chapati
- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ to 1 cup lukewarm water (add gradually to get soft dough)
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1–2 tbsp oil (for softer dough)
For serving
- Honey
- Walnuts
- Fresh mint
Instructions
- Mix the flour, salt, oil, and lukewarm water until you get a soft, smooth dough.
- Knead for about 5 minutes, then cover with a cloth and let rest for 10–15 minutes at room temperature.
- Divide the dough into 4–5 balls and roll them into round flatbreads.
- Heat a pan and cook the chapati on medium heat for a short time on both sides until golden.
- Serve warm with honey, walnuts, and fresh mint on top.

Tips:
- The oil in the dough makes the chapati softer and keeps it fresh longer.
- You can add a little butter or tahini for extra flavor.
- Perfect for a quick breakfast or a light snack.
