Protein Chocolate Bars with Peanut Butter and Dates

A healthy, gluten-free dessert with no added sugar

If you’re a peanut butter lover looking for a delicious and healthy snack, these protein chocolate bars are the perfect choice. The combination of oats, cocoa, natural sweeteners, and a creamy filling made with dates, protein, and peanut butter makes them ideal as a post-workout treat, quick breakfast, or healthy dessert. They’re easy to make, no baking required, and packed with nutritious ingredients.

Ingredients

For the base:

  • 65 g (1 cup) rolled oats
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 100 g peanut butter
  • 100 g maple syrup (or honey/agave)
  • A pinch of sea salt

For the filling:

  • 100 g dates (soaked in warm water for 10 minutes)
  • 50 g peanut butter
  • 1 scoop (approx. 30 g) protein powder (e.g. Iso Sensation Cookies & Cream or chocolate)

For the topping:

  • 100 g dark chocolate (melted)

Instructions

1. Prepare the base:

  1. Add the oats, cocoa powder, peanut butter, maple syrup (or another sweetener), and sea salt to a blender.
  2. Blend until a sticky mixture forms.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a rectangular mold lined with baking paper.
  4. Press down with a glass to create a flat and firm base. Set aside.

2. Prepare the filling:

  1. Drain the soaked dates and place them in a blender.
  2. Add the peanut butter and protein powder.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread the filling evenly over the base and smooth the surface.

3. Set the bars:

  1. Place the mold in the fridge for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  2. Remove and cut into 16 bars.

4. Add the topping:

  1. Melt the dark chocolate and pour over each bar.
  2. Let sit for 10 minutes until the chocolate sets before serving.
  3. Decorate with peanut butter drizzle

Tip

  • For a lighter and more elegant filling color, use white protein powder.
  • For a deeper chocolate flavor, go with chocolate protein.

Storage

Store the bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.

Enjoy a healthy, tasty, and protein-rich dessert – perfect for any moment! 🍫🥜
