Directions

This simple cake with a wonderful lemon aroma and light yellow texture is perfect for tea or coffee at any time of the day.
It can be prepared in just a few minutes using only a whisk.
At the end, the lemon and rose petal dressing adds a fresh flavor and aroma for complete enjoyment.
Ingredients 
- 4 large eggs
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 110 g granulated sugar
- 200 ml sunflower oil (or grape seed oil)

- 8 g baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
- grated zest of 1 lemon
For the dressing 
- 6 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp crushed dried rose petals
Preparation 
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, oil, and lemon zest. Mix briefly.
- Sift the flour, add baking powder and salt, then mix with the liquid ingredients until smooth with a light yellow caramel texture.
- Transfer to a greased mold and bake at 150°C for 45 minutes. Check with a toothpick.
- Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Prepare the dressing: mix powdered sugar, lemon juice, and rose petals, then pour over the warm cake.
- Decorate optionally with lemon slices or zest.
