Pumpkin Bacon Wraps with Pecorino!

🎃 Pumpkin Bacon Wraps with Sage Butter & Pecorino

Elegant, cozy, and perfect for autumn gatherings

 

 

Ingredients (12 pieces)

1 small pumpkin (butternut or muscat), peeled

12 thin slices bacon

3 tbsp grated Pecorino Romano

12 fresh sage leaves

1–2 tbsp unsalted butter

3–4 tbsp pomegranate seeds

Black pepper

Olive oil (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare

the Pumpkin

Slice pumpkin into thin wedges (5–6 mm).

Season lightly with black pepper.

2️⃣ Wrap with Bacon

Wrap each pumpkin slice with a strip of bacon.

Place on a baking tray lined with paper.

3️⃣ Bake

Bake at 200°C for 20–25 minutes, until bacon is crispy and pumpkin tender.

4️⃣ Make the Sage Butter

In a small pan, melt 1–2 tbsp butter.

Add the sage leaves and cook on low heat for 1 minute, until crisp and fragrant.

Remove from heat and keep warm.

5️⃣ Finish & Serve

While the pumpkin is still warm:

Drizzle with the sage-infused butter.

Sprinkle generously with pecorino.

Add pomegranate seeds for freshness and color.

Place a crisp sage leaf on each piece.

Serve immediately.
