🧆 Crispy Tortilla Chips

📝 Ingredients

  • 4 tortillas (wheat or corn)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or other oil of choice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (or chili to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry or onion powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

🥣 Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Cut the tortillas into triangles (like chips).
  3. In a large bowl, mix the triangles with the oil and spices.
  4. Arrange them evenly on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until they turn golden and crispy. Keep a close eye at the end so they don’t burn!
  6. Remove and let them cool for 5 minutes – they’ll get even crispier as they cool.

✅ Tips:

  • You can add grated Parmesan before baking for extra flavor.
  • These make a great healthy snack alternative – pair them with arugula pesto, guacamole, salsa, or a yogurt dip.

 

With these chips, I recommend a healthy spread – arugula pesto.
