Burrata cheese is Italian cow’s cheese made from mozzarella and cream. The outer casing is solid thin mozzarella cheese, while the inside contains stracciatella that gives soft texture.

It tastes milky, rich and buttery with a suitable, creamy sweetness.

It is a good source of protein and calcium, high in fat and calories, so it should be consumed in moderation as part of balanced diet.

It’s best to serve on room temperature, and always is best eaten as soon as possible after is made. If you buy from market usually it has 4 to 5 days until expires.

It is stored in water, and you need to drain that water before serving.

Season it simply, you can add to pizzas, pairs great with olive oils, sherry tomatoes, truffles and you can use it in caprese as well.

If you need brunch or appetizer idea, im sharing details of this lovely crunchy bruschetta.

Ingredients

400 grams sherry tomatoes, halved

100 grams olive oils, pitted

Basil and Parsley fresh leaves, handful

1 clove garlic, minced

2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

4 sliced bread

Method

In a bowl, combine the halved sherry tomatoes and pitted olives, then prepare easy dressing.

Dressing

In a separate bowl, add one garlic clove minced, chopped basil and parsley leaves, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, black pepper, and salt to taste.

Mix all to combine and add to the olives and sherry tomatoes.

Toast the slices bread with olive oil until crispy and golden brown, sprinkle with dry oregano and salt.

Serve everything in a bowl or plate and add burrata cheese.

Topped the burrata with balsamic vinegar, decorate with fresh thyme and enjoy!

Easy and so delicious, ready in 5 minutes!

Have a great appetite!
