When buying pomegranates, wash the peel well with baking soda, peel thinly and sun-dried.
This tea has a strong bitter taste, so it is best prepared as a refreshing juice that can be enjoyed more often and is suitable for children.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp dried pomegranate peel
- Juice of 1 fresh pomegranate
- 1 tsp honey
- 200 ml water
- Mint leaves for garnish
- Fresh lemon slices
- 4 ice cubes
Preparation
- Boil 200 ml of water and add the pomegranate peel. Let it steep for 10 minutes covered.
- Strain the peel and pour half of the liquid into a glass.
- Add the juice of one pomegranate, honey, and ice cubes. Fill to the top with water.
- Garnish with mint leaves and a fresh lemon slice.
Note: If drinking pomegranate tea as a medicine (only brewed tea), drink every second day because it is very strong. This pomegranate juice can be consumed for a short period, up to one week. All medicines are found in nature and are available to everyone, sometimes just forgotten.
