Directions

Creamy and velvety homemade liqueur with a rich vanilla aroma — made from fresh egg yolks, sugar, and a strong alcoholic drink (rakija or cognac). 🌿
This delicious drink is easy and quick to prepare, and its gentle sweetness and smooth taste will remind you of famous branded liqueurs like Malibu or Advocaat.
You can serve it as a dessert drink, use it as a base for cocktails, or simply enjoy it on its own.
It has a wonderful vanilla fragrance and a soft, rich flavor that will impress all your guests. ✨
👉 Tip: Use fresh eggs from the refrigerator and well-cooled boiled milk.
The liqueur can be stored in the fridge for several weeks without losing its freshness and taste.
Ingredients
- 600 ml milk (use full-fat milk for a creamier texture)
- 70 grams egg yolks (about 4 yolks)
- 100 grams granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 1 packet vanilla sugar or vanilla bean seeds
- 200 ml cognac or strong brandy (around 50° alcohol)

Preparation
- Boil the milk
Boil 600 ml of milk, then let it cool. The richer the milk, the smoother and silkier your liqueur will be. - Prepare the yolks
In a separate bowl, add the yolks, granulated sugar, and vanilla sugar. Beat with a hand mixer until the mixture becomes light, fluffy, and smooth, and the sugar is fully dissolved. - Combine
Slowly pour the cooled milk and alcohol into the yolk mixture. Gently mix with a spatula until well combined. - Chill
Pour the mixture into a glass bottle and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
If you use vanilla beans, soak them in the alcohol for a few hours beforehand to release their aroma, then add them together with the alcohol. - Without a mixer (alternative method)
You can also make this liqueur without a mixer — simply add all the ingredients (cooled milk, yolks, sugar, and alcohol) into a glass bottle.
Store it in the fridge and occasionally shake the bottle until the sugar dissolves completely and the texture becomes smooth and velvety.
Tip:
Serve well chilled. If you like this drink, leave a like or share it with your closest friends.
