Creamy and velvety liqueur from a strong alcoholic beverage (brandy or cognac), fresh egg yolks and sugar. A delicious drink that you can prepare at home easily and quickly, and which you can use as a base for cocktails (like the branded liqueurs Malibu, Advokat) or to consume it in pure form.

It has a wonderful vanilla aroma and a specific nice taste. You can store it in the fridge for a many weeks and surprise your guests. It is important to use fresh eggs from the fridge and cooled boiled milk.

Preparation!

Boil 600 ml of raw milk and leave it to cool down.
For velvety texture of this liqueur is better to use milk with higher fat content.
While the milk is cooling, add 70 grams of egg yolks (or four egg yolks) to the bowl, add the granulated sugar and vanilla sugar, and mix this ingredients with a hand mixer.
Knead until the sugar melts and you get a sparkling homogeneous texture.
Then add the cooled milk and alcohol to the mixture.
You can use cognac or alcohol brandy.
Often for this recipe im using homemade alcohol of 50 degrees known as Rakija.
It is strong Macedonian alcohol drink that we use and prepare locally from grape.
Mix with a spatula and transfer the mixture to a glass bottle.
Leave in the fridge for 24 hours before tasting.
If you use vanilla beans, add them to the alcohol and leave them for a while before adding them at the end with the alcohol.
If you do not want to use a hand mixer, you can make the liqueur just by mixing all the ingredients.
Add the cooled boiled milk, egg yolks, grain sugar and alcohol to a glass bottle and leave in the fridge until the sugar has melted or for two days.
You can occasionally shake the bottle to get a smooth and velvety texture.
