Directions
A delicious biscuit roll with crushed biscuits from childhood with amazing aroma of dark rum, combined with chocolate and cocoa powder to unique flavor.
If you haven’t tried it yet, I believe you will like the taste, and it only takes five minutes to prepare. You can keep it in the refrigerator for several days and enjoy the simple and rich taste at the same time.
There are many ways of preparation, but this one is healthy variation with honey as a substitute for sugar, dusted with beetroot powder.
Ingredients:
200 grams of biscuits of your choice
100 ml of milk
100 grams of butter (at room temperature)
50 grams of dark chocolate
3 tbsp cocoa powder
2 spoons of honey
3 tbsp of dark rum (you can also use rum extract)
beetroot powder for sprinkling and rolling (or cocoa powder, or powdered sugar)
Preparation
Break the biscuits into pieces with your hands in a bowl, then add the butter, chocolate, cocoa powder and milk to another glass bowl. Place the bowl over a pot of boiling water and stir until all the ingredients are dissolved. Drain them through a strainer and add them to the biscuits. Mix with a spoon until combined and transfer to foil. Roll out the mixture and cover it with foil so that you can shape it with your hands and give it the shape of a salami. Wrap the ends for easier shaping.
Then put the roll in the fridge for at least an hour to cool down and firm up nicely.
Before serving, sprinkle with beetroot powder, cocoa powder or powdered sugar and dust it well on all sides. You can store it in foil in the refrigerator for several days.
Cheers with a coffee or as a delicious snack at any time!
