Syrian style rice is a unique Arabic rice dish that is easy and quick to prepare. Airy whole grain, non-sticky rice, which is prepared with a short frying and covered until the water is well absorbed, shaken before serving and served with sauce as desired.

Most often, this portion is prepared in combination with okra, which is only available on the market for a short period, and if is difficult for you to find okra you can prepare it with green beans, yellow or green of your choice. The recipe preparation for a delicious sauce with beef and green beans is already shared on the site as a previous recipe.

 To prepare this Syrian dish is needed only two ingredients, rice and vermicelli. It is best to use basmati rice in a ratio of one to four, rice with vermicelli noodles.

 Ingredients

 1 cup of rice

 1/4 cup vermicelli

 2 cups of water

 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil

 salt to taste

 Method of preparation

Add the oil to a pan and add the broken vermicelli. Fry at a moderate temperature until the noodles darken, stirring constantly to fry evenly. Then add the pre-washed rice to the noodles and fry for a short time, up to one minute at most.

At the end, add the water, mix and let it boil on medium heat.  Stir occasionally, and when the water is almost absorbed, remove from heat, cover with a lid and leave for a few minutes before serving.

 The method of preparation of this rice is unique, very tasty, whole grain non-sticky, and can be served in a large portion in the middle with the prepared green bean sauce on the ends.
